On September 26th over 20,000 of the world's bankers, economists and investors arrived in Prague for the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. A colourful and diverse collective of Irish groups gathered in solidarity with organisations from around the world that are concerned with the impact on society and the environment caused by the policies of the World Bank and IMF. This page records statements from some of those organisations and gives you an idea of the activities that took place.
Irish accounts from Prague
Some of the following accounts are from people that were involved with the S26 collective, others are not. In either case as they were written after the S26 collective had ceased to exist they are obviously not representive of the views of anything but the individuals that wrote them.
