S26 Collective - Ireland
In solidarity with the Prague demonstrations against the
IMF/World Bank
At the end of this September some 20,000 of the worlds financial
leaders will arrive in Prague for the IMF/World Bank summit. Massive
protests are being prepared to oppose this summit. The S26 Collective
- Ireland has formed to organise Irish solidarity demonstrations. We
are using the statement below, from
the Czech organisers (INPEG) of the protests, to sketch our common
opposition to the World Bank/IMF.
Following on from our initial meeting we decided to seek the
support of as many Irish organisations as possible for these
demonstrations and the INPEG statement. We would like your
organisation to
- Contact us to indicate that you agree with the
INPEG statement
- Send a delegate to our next organising meeting (below)
- Help to build the demonstrations at the end of September
