A policy that leads to the death of children is morally unacceptable. Ten years of crippling sanctions and military attacks have taken the lives of well over 1.5 million Iraqi people. The sanctions are inflicting the cruelest genocide in history: slow deaths by malnutrition, polluted water, manufactured sicknesses, and forced deprivation of health care and medicines. Please help us end the suffering. Join us and others around the world in calling for an end to the economic and military attacks on the people of Iraq. Ireland, say no to the sanctions! As a member of the international community, Ireland has fully supported the criminal sanctions. It is now time to end this support. Call your TD's and local representatives. Tell them that Ireland must end it's compliance with the sanctions against Iraq. One and a half million deaths is enough. No genocide in our name! Help us organize, leaflet, phone Write to newspapers, call radio shows, talk to friends. Distribute copies of this leaflet in your community and church and your school. Call us to obtain more information. Write to the Taoiseach and the ministers and to your representatives in Dail. Volunteer to help at our weekly stall every Saturday from 2PM to 3PM in front of Bank of Ireland, College Green. Sponsor showings of the educative videos available with us.

The Campaign has launched a petition drive calling upon Ireland to unilaterally end the sanctions. The text of the petition is belwo but you can also download and print out the PDF file of the petition.

Ten years of brutal sanctions and repeated bombing have destroyed Iraq and made life impossible for itís 22 million people. Over 1.5 million people have died as a direct result of the sanctions. Over half a million were children below the age of 5 years.

We ask that the Dail pass a resolution demanding that the government stop complying with the sanctions immediately.
