Senores and Senoras
To the National and International Press
To National and International Human Rights Organizations
To Non-Governmental Organizations
We are once more denouncing that today, October 2 of the year 2000, as Municipal Council we received a written document this morning, dated September 25 of the current year, which was written by Senor Ada'n Herna'ndez Pe'rez and the Municipal Rural Agent, Jose' Gutie'rrez Me'ndez of the La'zaro Ca'rdenas Barrio, Municipality of Chenalho', Chiapas.
Copies have been directed, with Human Rights and with the Public Ministry, wherein it is stated that, on January 1, 1994, a ranch belonging to Senor Ramiro Garci'a Gordillo of Usil Hucum was taken possession of - and, trying to appropriate the strength of Subcomandante Marcos of the EZLN - saying they were not support bases, but they were a group of Cardenistas.
There is already a group of support base companeros at this ranch, but Senor Ada'n Herna'ndez Pe'rez is against our companeros, and he wants to take over this ranch, as he said in his document which is an attempt to appropriate the EZLN strength. It belongs to our companeros, and he should not be bothering them, because he has no rights to that land, he should not be looking for more problems or excuses.
For this reason we are letting you know the land belongs to the zapatista companeros.
Sincerely
Autonomous Council
Bartolome' Gutie'rrez Va'zquez
